  3. What are "Call Windows", and how are they used?
  4.  
  5. Call Windows (CW) is an optional section of your routing.bbs that allows
  6. you specify the hours that you want to allow MDRIVER to call specified
  7. nodes.  One advantage of using CW is that it is possible to have a
  8. single routing file, that will function during different netmail
  9. sessions.

  11. CW can be set up in two ways...
  12.  
  13. 1.  CW  without a "/OW" switch on MDRIVER...
  14.         -------

  16.     a)  The CW entries will allow calls to the specifed nodes only
  17.         during the times indicated.
  18.  
  19.     b)  Calls will be made only in the presence of either
  20.         - mail to deliver
  21.         - an outbound
  22.         - an echo request.
  23.  
  24.     c)  Warning:  Nodes NOT listed in CW could be called as in (b)
  25.         above, unless there are inbounds to prevent the call.

  28. 2.  CW with a "/OW" switch on MDRIVER...

  31.     a)  The CW entries will allow calls to the specifed nodes only
  32.         during the times indicated.

  34.     b)  The /OW generates automatic OUTBOUNDS and a call will be forced, even
  35.         if there is no mail to deliver.

  37.     c)  Nodes NOT listed in CW will be automatically INBOUNDED.

  48. Additional notes:
  49.  
  50.     1) Do not use a node range (as in the example) if using "/OW".
  51.     2) Do not use "/OW" without CALL WINDOWS.
  52.     3) Limit of 40 call windows.
